St. Angela’s College is committed to partnership with parents in the education of their daughters. All parents of students in the school are automatically members of the The Parents’ Association which is an essential vehicle for consultation and collaboration between school management and the parent body.

Each October parents representing each year group are elected onto the Parents’ Council. This group meets on a monthly basis to discuss issues of concern and to plan activities over the course of the year. Meetings are attended by the Principal who is supported in his work by the efforts and initiatives of the members.

In recent years the Parents Council has run very successful courses/workshops on Parenting and on Drugs Awareness as well as organising parents to chaperone students when necessary to training, matches or events. Though their role is by no means confined to fundraising they have purchased teaching aids/equipment for the school and contributed towards the travel/accommodation expenses of students representing the school at prestigious cultural and sporting events abroad. It is through the Parents’ Association that the parent nominees on the Board of Management are elected, allowing for consultation with the parent body and the bringing forward of their views at Board level.
