Sailing

St Angela’s students with some experience of sailing are invited to apply for the annual Inter Schools team sailing competition.  This competition is run by Irish Sailing and hosted by different clubs each year. This popular event has seen many schools compete for coveted trophies over the past thirty eight years. Each school nominates a Sailing Captain and may enter up to three teams, each team consisting of two or three boats.  This competition allows students involved in a minority sport the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, while working as a team, to represent their school.  Sailing requires a commitment from parents to transport and organise teams for the event.
