Athletic success in Munster Indoors for Noelle Mulcahy 2A and Sophie Mulcahy 4A

Noelle successfully defended her Munster Indoor title from last year becoming the Munster Indoor u16 Pole Vault Champion yesterday, breaking the record twice; first with a vault of 2.77m breaking the old record and then breaking her own new record with a vault of 2.85m. Noelle now holds the u15 and u16 Munster Indoor records in this event. She topped off her weekend by taking silver in the u16 High Jump with a new PB of 1.55m. Comhghairdeas leat Noelle!

What a great start to the athletic year for Sophie Mulcahy T.Y. She took the gold medal in the 200m and silver in the 60m under 20 in the recent Munster Indoor Club Championships. Sophie was also on the Senior Ladies’ relay team which claimed the National Indoor 4x 200m title recently, and set a new Championship record of 1.40.40. What an incredible achievement for a young athlete who is only 16 years old.
