THE STUDENT COUNCIL IS RUNNING 5 DIFFERENT WAYS FOR STUDENTS TO GET INVOLVED IN OUR SCHOOL’S CELEBRATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY ON MARCH 7TH.
1. Design a mindful colouring drawing based on this year’s IWD theme. It should be drawn on an A4 sheet but it must be possible to colour it in fully in 30 minutes.
2. . Write a poem based around this year’s year IWD theme.
3. Write a short story based around this year’s IWD theme.
4. Write a song (music composition with or without lyrics) based around this year’s IWD theme.
5. Create a dance routine performance based around this year’s IWD theme.
This year’s theme is – Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively for #IWD2025 we can all #AccelerateAction. International Women’s Day (IWD) has been around for over a hundred years, as have many of the issues still impacting women’s advancement. Since 1911, IWD belongs to all who care about women’s equality. Celebrate women’s achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to forge gender equality.
