I am delighted to report that our first big Christmas Market in the Canteen last Friday was a resounding success. This achievement was made possible by the incredible support of the entire school community.
The crafts and baked goods on display were truly exceptional, showcasing the talent and creativity of our students. The “Reindeer Games” brought out everyone’s competitive spirit, adding a fun twist to the day. To top it all off, the orchestra’s beautiful Christmas music helped set the perfect festive atmosphere and truly got us all in the Christmas spirit!
A huge thank you to everyone who donated books, games, and other items to support the event. I would also like to extend a special thanks to the students who dedicated time and effort over the last 10 weeks to help prepare for the Market. In particular, the 1st Year students from Lego Club and the TY Student Council members deserve special recognition for their contributions.
My gratitude also goes out to all those who volunteered on the day, assisting with preparation, selling, and the clean-up afterward. Your energy and teamwork were invaluable. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Ms. O’Connor for her continuous support, as well as to all of the teachers who helped make the event a success on the day.
Thanks to the proceeds from the Market, along with a generous donation from the school, we are delighted to announce that we will be presenting the Mercy Hospital Foundation with a cheque for €900 in the New Year. This will make a real difference to those in need, and it’s all because of your efforts.
Well done to everyone involved, and thank you once again for making the Christmas Market such a memorable occasion.
Warm regards,
Ms. B O’Sullivan
