Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope you are all well. I just wanted to give you a sense of the arrangements for TYs over the next week or so. Today, Wednesday, we are having a games morning and picnic in the Barracks’ field until 12.30. TY exams takes place tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday, until 12.30 on both days.
On Monday, 24th all students are expected to be in school at 8.55 to help prepare for Graduation, which will take place on Tuesday. Once we have rehearsed the speeches and decorated the room, students will be free to go home (around lunch-time, hopefully). Our low-key Graduation ceremony will take place on Tuesday morning. It will include speeches and awards and will culminate in a talk by the inspirational Sinead Kane. Students should wear their full school uniform on both days. The TY year ends with a trip to Zip It in Farran Wood either on Wednesday, 26th or Friday 28th (half the group on each day). Times will resemble a normal school day, leaving Patrick’s Quay at 9 and returning to the same location around 3.30. Students have already signed up to their preferred day and group. I am hoping that this will be a very positive and enjoyable end to the year.
Kind regards,
Sinead O’ Donovan
