Earlier this month, Sophie lined up for her first Junior Munster Championships. Junior is the u20 category, but you can compete if you are 16 and over in the year of competition. Missing out on bronze by 0.06secs in the 60m, Sophie went on to take gold in the 200m. As a result of this achievement, she has been promoted to the Leevale Senior Womens relay team, and recently competed on the 3rd leg in the relay. Along with her teammates, she set a new National Club Indoor 4x200m Junior and Senior record of 1.40.23. Comhghairdeas leat Sophie!
