We were all so delighted and appreciative that everybody was able to attend Prize Day in person this year. It is always a fantastic occasion when we can bring all of the school together.
Well done to all of those students who received recognition for unbroken attendance and sporting endeavours. Congratulations to all of the students who received class prizes for their hard work, cooperation and kindness, and to those students who won the Perpetual Prizes.
The day also gave us an opportunity, as a school community, to bid a fond farewell to Mr David Manning, who is retiring. Mr Manning will be hugely missed by students and staff alike.
Ms O’ Donovan, deputy principal, was the very deserving recipient of “The Spirit of St Angela’s” award, to the delight of her colleagues, and the students.
Prize Day ended, as always, with The Ceremony of Light, where the outgoing Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl and 6th Year Student Council passed on the torch of office to the incoming team. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dara Diggin and Niamh Cremin, along with the other members of the 6th year Student Council, for the incredible work that they put in over the past twelve months.
Thanks also to their cooperating teachers, Ms Gallagher and Ms Chawke, for working with the junior and Senior student councils all year, and for organising a superb Prize Day for us all.
We wish everybody in the St Angela’s College community a happy and healthy summer.
