All 5th and 6th Years are attending the Career Fair in the Rochestown Park Hotel on Tuesday, October 18th next week. This is on 2 floors of the Exhibition Centre in the hotel. Most of the Irish Further Education and Third Level Colleges will be there, as well as general education information stands, the Defence Forces, the Gardaí etc. in addition to some UK and European/EUNiCAS Colleges. The first 2 classes of the day are as normal. Students are leaving school at 10.15 to attend our allocated time slot from 10.45 to 11.50. And will return on the bus and aim to be back in class for 12.30. Classes are as normal for the rest of the day. In order for students to attend, there is a fee of €12.50 payable through the Shop on the school app to cover the cost of the entry ticket and the bus, and Parents/Guardians must sign and submit a Consent form giving their permission to attend. These issues are outstanding for some students so I would ask that you would check on this for your daughter please. There is a slot on Wednesday the 19th at 11.55 which is allocated to parents/guardians, so you as parents are also welcome to attend the Career Fair if you wish at this time. Entry is free. There are information sheets and guidance on the school’s Career Website that might be useful in helping guide students on making the most of a Career Fair and College Open Days. https://careersportal.ie/careerguidance/office.php?school_id=45 Many thanks. N Gallagher. Guidance Counsellor.
