The Senior A hockey team celebrated a remarkable year with a dinner on Monday. This season was truly unforgettable, marking over 50 years since our last Munster Senior A Cup victory and our debut in the Kate Russell All Ireland Schoolgirls Championship, where we secured a second-place finish.
Facing tough competition, we triumphed in the Munster Senior A Grips Cup final against Crescent. At the Kate Russell Championship, we showcased our strength with wins against Kilkenny College and Colaiste Iarnaid Galway, ending with a draw against Royal School Armagh.
Despite narrowly missing the gold, our journey was filled with camaraderie and growth. From league victories against Regina Mundi and Scoil Mhuire to a hard-fought final against Crescent, our team’s unity and dedication were evident.
Throughout this journey, we faced old rivals and overcame numerous challenges, forging a strong bond that translated into success on the pitch. We couldn’t be prouder of our Senior A hockey team.
