St. Angela’s College has a long and proud tradition of sport. It recognises the importance of student participation in physical activity including sports, movement and dance and actively promotes it both inside and outside the school. Regular physical activity can improve quality of life, improve health, promote social inclusion, raise individual self-esteem and confidence and counter anti-social behaviour. We do all in our power to encourage our students to engage in physical activity/sport.
Our main school sports are Basketball, Hockey, Gaelic Football and Camogie. Please click on the relevant sport to find information on training times and venues.
Students who are competent in other sports are encouraged to represent the school in schools competitions. These sports include athletics, swimming, tennis, sailing, rowing, show-jumping, soccer and orienteering. The sports vary each year according to the interests of the students and the opportunities which present themselves.
