TY SPRING Project featured in The Echo.
Last Friday, the 11th of October, our TY students participated in the Shine A Light Sleep Out for Focus Ireland. It was a fantastic success. The girls had a ball. They sang their hearts out, created art, learned about the homeless situation in Ireland, won prizes, competed in quizzes, indulged in pizza and cakes, had popcorn, watched a movie and finally, most slept, albeit for a couple of hours. Some didn’t … but all had a great night…. Then they got up early, had breakfast, and did a great job cleaning up.
Most importantly, our students have raised vital funds for crucial homeless services for individuals, children, and families without a home. They raised €8682 for Focus Ireland, and were among the top 8 fundraising schools in the country! It has been a great opportunity for our students to make a difference. On behalf of St Angela’s College, we want to thank the parents and families for their unwavering support. We also want to thank the staff volunteers who made this all possible. And of course, a huge congratulations to all of the students on their tremendous efforts to raise such an incredible amount. We are extremely proud of them.
