Dear Parents/ Guardians, I hope you are well and that your daughters have enjoyed their first term in TY. Over the last few weeks, TYs have participated in two very valuable workshops: one on goal-setting and motivation while the other focused on self-esteem, positive body image and journaling. They also participated in a Poetry workshop, which (perhaps surprisingly for students) was very enjoyable and thought-provoking.
TYs have been very busy in school for the last few weeks as they are leading all the Christmas celebrations that are such an important part of St Angela’s school life. They have organised the Christmas concert, the Crib ceremony, the St Angela’s Christmas market decorating the school and various fund-raising activities. In all of these, the girls have been enthusiastic, focused and a pleasure to be around.
As you know, we are hoping to release TY students in February to complete two weeks of Work Experience (Feb. 8th -12th and 22nd- 26th). I do appreciate that finding Work Experience is a challenge this year, but we hope that every student will be successful in finding a placement.
2021 will bring other events for TYs, including a walking tour of the city, a Personal Safety workshop and a Skincare workshop, and that’s just in January.
Can I wish you and all yours a happy and restful Christmas.
Kind regards,
Sinead O’ Donovan. TY Coordinator.
