Eleven St Angela’s Students competed in the Munster School’s Gala on Sunday. The Junior group of Faye Carroll, Siofra Deasy, Izzi Harty and Aoibhe Moroney had very successful relay events – taking silver in the Medley relay and bronze in the freestyle relay.
The intermediate group of Mary Cassidy, Katie Cunningham and Matilda Lyons all had great individual swims.
The senior group of Sophie Cunningham, Molly Lyons, Izzy McGrath and Chloe O’Flynn finished just outside the podium on both relays. Chloe and Izzy did get individual medals in breaststroke and backstroke respectively.
Three girls on the team shared the same grandad. The company set up by Jim McGrath has kindly agreed to sponsor the t-shirts for this year’s Swim Team in his memory.
