TY SPRING Project featured in The Echo.
In April 2022, the school community raised a fantastic €9,891.11 as part of their ‘Going the Distance for Ukraine’ fundraiser. Various events were held from selling ‘virtual kilometers’ to a breakfast for staff. The money was donated to the Irish Red Cross for their Ukrainian appeal.
Just as students and staff were overwhelmed by the generosity of the school community here in St Angelas, so too were the Irish Red Cross, who really wanted to show their appreciation. They finally found time in their busy schedule to pay a visit to us here in the school and meet with some of the students involved in the fundraising activities.
We would like to thank Ted Noonan from the Cork branch for calling, with the Red Cross ambulance, and for taking the time to talk to TY students about the work that the Irish Red Cross are doing, both here in Cork, and abroad.
