TY SPRING Project featured in The Echo.

On Tuesday, the TY First Aid class trained 1st, 2nd and 3rd years how to respond in the event of a cardiac emergency. This programme is run in association with the Irish Heart Foundation. The aim of the training was to empower students to be competent in recognising cardiac emergencies and performing CPR, as well as recognising the signs of a stroke and what to do if someone is choking.
People who have completed this course at any stage of their lives are 10 times more likely to react in an emergency situation.
