Excitement is building as our Senior A hockey team embark on their journey
to Armagh today to compete in the highly anticipated Kate Russell Cup tournament,
following their sensational victory in the Munster Cup final.
During the two-day tournament in Armagh, our Senior A team will go head-to-head
against some tough opponents including Royal School Armagh, Colaiste Iognaid,
Wesley College, and Kilkenny College. This marks a significant milestone for our
school, as it has been over 50 years since our last Munster Senior A Cup win, and
this is our first time partaking in the Kate Russell All Ireland Schoolgirls
Championship.
Our previous Munster A titles were won in 1935, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962,
1971 and now again in 2024. We commend our Senior A team for their hard work
and dedication in securing their place in the prestigious Kate Russell Cup, and we
offer them our full support and best wishes for success in the tournament.
A special thanks is due to our invaluable sponsors whose support has made this
journey possible. Special thanks are owed to the Past Pupils Union, O’Brien’s
Garage, Eco Kell, Aunty Nellie’s, Kearney’s Buses, Value Vending, Cummins Sports,
SuperValu Grange, Pepsi Co, Hockey World, Valley Foods, the Happy Pear

Additionally, we express our sincere gratitude to the wider school community for your
