The City Hall in Cork was bursting with joyful energy on Thursday night at the “Maranatha” concert organised by the Youth Ministry arm of the Diocese of Cork and Ross. The first of what is hoped will be an annual event..
Our wonderful students who volunteered shone brightly in the Choir, the Orchestra and as Soloists. They were simply outstanding! Accompanied by the great and the good of Cork were School Leadership Teams, members of the Clergy and families. Young and old.
All participated in an evening of joyful and uplifting music, song and dance. It was particularly inspiring to watch students from schools from Mayfield to Clonakilty and many others (20 in all) work together throughout the day in workshops and in rehearsals in a spirit of generosity, conviviality and responsible fun.
The ambiance was simply electric! All left last evening proud of our young people, filled with renewed hope and with a lively spring in our step! A remarkable success.
